Fort Worth, TX – (PRESS RELEASE) The Masters Hall of Fame, recognized as one of the premier Martial Arts events on the West Coast, will hold a special event at the Hilton Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 7, 2014. The event is being organized by Master Jamie Cashion and will feature as keynote speakers action movie director Art Camacho and kickboxing world champion Don “The Dragon” Wilson. The evening will benefit SPARK Worldwide and is expected to be the largest martial arts event ever in the state of Texas. It will also be the first Masters Hall of Fame event held outside of California. “The Masters Hall of Fame is the most prestigious hall of fame I have ever attended.” Grandmaster J. Pat Burleson The weekend will kick off with a VIP party and reception at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night, June 6, with attendees available for interviews during the party. The event itself will begin with a Red Carpet Reception at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, June 7. Inductees will be available for interviews and red carpet photographs during the reception. Among the nominees for induction by Grandmasters J. Pat Burleson and George Minshew are Grandmasters Allen Steen, Ed Daniel, David Moon, John Worley, Pat Worley, Gordon Franks, Keith Vitali, John Longstreet, Carlos Muchados, Fred Wren, Mike Dillard, Jeff Smith, Billy Jack Jackson, Steve “Nasty” Anderson and Troy Dorsey. Over 500 people are expected to attend the event, and martial arts luminaries such as Cynthia Rothrock, Eric Lee, Gene LaBell and Bill “Super Foot” Wallace have been invited to as special guests. Part of the proceeds from the event will go to benefit SPARK Worldwide, an organization dedicated to serving, protecting and raising children locally and worldwide. With the challenge of poverty and despair touching children everywhere, SPARK Worldwide is working to restore hope and provide resources, knowledge and education to bring real change to children, families and communities. Over the years SPARK Worldwide has helped children from Texas and Mexico to Sierra Leone, Uganda and India. “The Masters Hall of Fame is the most prestigious hall of fame I have ever attended,” says Grandmaster Burleson, “and the only hall of fame I know of that is a 501(c)(3) that gives back to charities.” Founded in 1999, the Masters Hall of Fame is recognized as one of the premier Martial Arts events on the West Coast. The association recognizes exceptional Martial Arts Leaders and Legends through induction into the Masters Hall of Fame. The 2013 event honored Women in the Martial Arts and featured Full-Contact Muay Thai Champion Lisa King, aka “The Black Widow,” as keynote speaker.
